Due to our continuous expansion, MV Commercial, have an opportunity for a production planner to join our friendly team on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will join a fast paced environment and will be dealing with vehicle chassis, crane and body plans.
MV Commercial is one of the leading specialist vehicle suppliers in the UK and services & repairs vehicles from all leading manufacturers including DAF, MAN, Scania and Volvo.
We have our own on-site restaurant, which is open for use by all staff between 6am and 2pm Monday to Friday.

We currently have a vacancy for a highly professional individual with a proven track record of working within the crane engineering/crane service within the commercial vehicle sector.
MV Commercial is one of the leading specialist vehicle suppliers in the UK and fits, services and repairs cranes from all leading manufacturers including Hiab, Palfinger, Cormach and PM.
Skills required:
- Ideally, you will hold an ALLMI Certification to carry out LOLER testing.
- Will consider candidates qualified to [NVQ Level 3] and a considerable amount of experience working on the equipment.
- 5 years hands on experience of maintaining, servicing, and repairing various pieces of crane and lifting equipment.
- Knowledge and Understanding of LOLER regulations.
- Ability to perform and oversee Loader testing.
- Strong relationship building skills and the ability to influence customers.
- To hold a full and clean driving licence.
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
Reporting to Crane Department Management and ensure that own and team operations, including those undertaken on the Company's behalf are conducted in manner which fully complies with Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Best Practices Policies.
- Maintain cranes, prolonging the life of the equipment under our remit by means of preventative maintenance and servicing.
- Reduce avoidable costs where possible for the group by achieving first time fix rate.
- Advise the group/site in crane related and lifting operation matters.
- Reduce crane breakdowns by Preventative Maintenance on component items.
- Carry out fault diagnosis and route cause analysis on components after failure.
- Completion of Risk Assessment/Method Statements and Point of Work Risk Assessments.
- Collate crane performance data and send monthly reports to manager for all sites.
- Understand and deploy continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to optimise crane availability, reliability and performance.

Fleet Maintenance Controller

We currently have a vacancy for a highly professional individual with a proven track record of working within a maintenance related role within the commercial vehicle sector. The applicant should be able to demonstrate an excellent technical knowledge of working with commercial vehicles and managing/controlling key areas such as scheduling, cost control, supplier & customer management to a very high standard and delivering success.
Includes 1 in 4 Saturdays.
Experience of working in a commercial vehicle maintenance or rental related business is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take inbound calls and be the first point of contact for customer vehicle maintenance requirements.
- Manage legal compliance events for customers including MOT, service inspections and planning.
- Deal with roadside breakdowns and compliance events using extensive third party repair network.
- Schedule and deal with internal workshop/ bodyshop repairs.
- Manage VOR along with updates internally and to customers.
- Process maintenance documentation and ensuring all compliance is up to date
- Process invoices and PO requests efficiently
- Provide excellent service levels to all sales, rental and retail customers.
- Chase customer PO's for any chargeable works
- Organise breakdown recovery when required
- Attending customer meetings when needed to support rental service levels.
- Ensuring service levels are met.
Experience, attributes & skills required:
- Experience in the planning and technical aspects of commercial vehicle events.
- Ability to build a strong rapport and communicate effectively internally and with customer base.
- Knowledge of supplier authorisation processes
- Knowledge and understanding of compliance/operator’s licence requirements.
- Ability to effectively balance VOR/Costs through effective use of Nationwide suppliers
- Strong negotiator.
- Strong IT skills
- High level of enthusiasm for working together in a small team to achieve common goals and SLA

- Supervising the floor team of 8-10 staff members
