MV BTRA CHAMPIONSHP SHINES AT PEMBREY CIRCUIT
The MV BTRA Championship 2019 continues to thrill under cloudless Welsh skies with Smith and Garrett continuing to lead their respective divisions.
In Division One Ryan Smith scored a hat trick of firsts as he begins to pull away from Dave Jenkins on the rankings after an intense weekend of truck racing. Despite an early victory on the opening day, Jenkins struggled to fend off the three-time champion Smith who continues to rack up firsts. After the second round of the MV BTRA Championship 2019, Ryan Smith leads with 118 points, Jenkins with 115 and John Newell currently sits third on the log with 99 points buoyed by several visits to the podium at Pembrey.
Luke Garret continues to dominate the Division Two rankings with a staggering 24-point lead ahead of Paul Rivett with 98 and Steve Powell with 87. Paul Rivett, the four-time Renault UK Clio Cup Champion, is the man to watch for the 2019 season as he scores his first win of the MV BTRA Championship 2019.
The next round of the MV BTRA Championship 2019 is at the fastest UK track at Thruxton on the 29th and 20th June.
