Specialist truck provider MV Commercial has supplied Bo’ness-based Rockbreakers UK with a new MAN TGM 18.290 flatbed truck, delivering the asset within just six weeks of receiving the order.
The vehicle comes equipped with a 26ft flatbed body fabricated by the MV Commercial team, featuring a secure one metre high alloy storage box stretching the whole width of the vehicle below the bulkhead. This is enclosed with lightweight alloy roller shutters on each side – a unique specification for this type of vehicle.
Jason Easton, Managing Director at Rockbreakers UK, says: “Quoted delivery times from other suppliers and manufacturers were stretching into next year, so we were delighted when MV Commercial promised to deliver in just six weeks.
“The service they provided was second-to-none. They made the buying process quick and easy, and supplied us with a great looking new vehicle.”
Rockbreakers UK will use the latest addition to transport hydraulic breakers and demolition and forestry attachments to construction, mining and quarrying sites across England and Scotland.
“Our vehicles are out on the road five days a week, working on tough sites so we need to make sure we have robust assets that will get the job done and stand the test of time. MV Commercial was able to give us this confidence,” adds Easton.
The 18-tonne 4x2 rigid has also been spec’d with a drop-down style Kelsa HiBar featuring LED beacons and spot lamps, together with a fall arrest system for maximum operator safety and a rear plastic toolbox for additional stowage.
The company was so impressed by the quality and turnaround of MV Commercial’s service that it also placed an order for a 3.5-tonne Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with dropside bodywork.
Both vehicles have been finished in the company’s striking black livery, with bold yellow and white signwriting.
